Sandy Lee

Sandy Lee is the Managing Attorney of Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Greenville office, where she has served in a leadership role since 2011. A Greenville native, Sandy brings a deep commitment to advancing justice in eastern North Carolina and a career grounded in service to low-income communities across the state.

Sandy earned both her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from Campbell University, graduating from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. She began her legal career as a domestic violence attorney with Legal Services of the Coastal Plains (now Legal Aid’s Ahoskie office), before joining Legal Services of Southern Piedmont in Charlotte. There, she practiced in the areas of domestic violence, housing, public benefits, and consumer law, and also worked with the Immigrant Justice Project. Sandy is fluent in Spanish.

In 2006, Sandy returned to her hometown to join the Greenville office and lead Legal Aid’s statewide Low-Income Taxpayer Project. Under her leadership, the office has expanded its impact through collaboration with community partners and the development of innovative legal services.

Over the years, Sandy has served on numerous local and statewide boards and continues to work closely with a broad network of partners to address the legal needs of underserved communities.
