About
Angeleigh Dorsey is the Western Regional Managing Attorney with Legal Aid of North Carolina. She has served as the Project Director of Legal Aid of North Carolina’s statewide Senior Law Project and the NC Medicaid Ombudsman Program. A career legal aid attorney, her practice has focused on public benefits law and elder law. Licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and Indiana (inactive good standing), she is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association and its Elder and Special Needs Law Section, and the Buncombe County Bar. She served on the North Carolina Bar Association 4ALL Statewide Day of Service committee for several years, including as the chair, served on the Executive Committee of the Buncombe County Bar, and previously served as a member of the NCBA Elder & Special Needs law section council. Ms. Dorsey is the 2022 recipient of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Deborah Greenblatt Outstanding Legal Services Attorney award. A native Hoosier, she received her B.A. from Indiana University – Bloomington and her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
