What is your favorite part about your job/working in your service area?
My favorite part about my job is being able to validate and empower my clients. I primarily work with victims of domestic violence, and often, my clients have been told time and again that they are crazy, that nobody will believe them, and that they don’t matter. My job allows me to be the person that believes them, fights for them, and ensures that their stories get told. There is so much power in simply allowing clients to tell their story and helping them fight for what they deserve. My favorite part of my job is that, win or lose, my clients will know that there was somebody on their side, and that they are not alone.
