About

Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) project brings together physicians, nurses, social workers, care managers, community health workers, attorneys and paralegals to address social and environmental determinants of health that may have a legal remedy, including access to safe, affordable housing; economic opportunities; family safety and stability; food security; health insurance; education; and other safety net supports.

Our Medical-Legal Partnership project is includes a wide range of partners including hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, federally-qualified community health centers, and other community-based clinic settings Examples of our current partnerships include:
