What is Day of Giving?
The LANC Day of Giving is an annual 24-hour virtual fundraising event focused on increasing equal access to justice in North Carolina. Giving Day harnesses the power of collective giving – where gifts of all sizes from friends, family, community members, and partners, across all sectors – collectively propel our work across the state providing free civil legal services to vulnerable North Carolinians and finding sustainable, actionable solutions for bridging the justice gap in our state and beyond.
Why does LANC have a Day of Giving?
Community giving is vital to support our mission. We typically receive about 40-45% of our annual funding from federal grants.
Gifts from the community support staff positions across the state, expanding our reach to serve. Charitable gifts also help fund outreach efforts like the LANC Mobile, technology improvements, internships for law students, professional development and training for our staff, and helps us to weather inevitable changes in federal funding from year to year.
When is Giving Day?
Our 3rd annual Day of Giving is Wednesday April 30th, 2025.
