Ida Baker

Ida Telisa Baker is the managing attorney of Legal Aid for North Carolina’s Fayetteville Office. She has worked for LANC for over 30 years. She is admitted to practice in the United States Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina. She is VA accredited and admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. As a general practitioner, she has litigated cases in various North Carolina State Courts, including Small Claims Court, District Court and Superior Court.

Ida earned her bachelor’s degree from Pembroke State University (now University of North Carolina at Pembroke) and her juris doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law. As a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, she serves as a site chair on the 4ALL Committee. In her community, she serves as LANC representative to Fayetteville Cumberland Continuum of Care, an organization addresses the needs of homeless individuals in Cumberland County.

Ida enjoys reading and playing Fortnite with her son Joshua.
