Christiana Johnson
Managing Attorney
“Access to justice must be a reality – not just an option.“
About
Christiana serves as the Managing Attorney of Legal Aid of NC’s High Country Office, located in Boone, NC. She received her J.D. from Liberty University School of Law, where she graduated first in her class and was the Editor in Chief of Liberty’s Law Review. After graduation she clerked for The Honorable Thomas D. Waterman of the Iowa Supreme Court. She started in our Wilson Office in 2021 as a Domestic Violence Staff Attorney before moving west to the mountains. She has been at the forefront of our Innovation Lab’s Library Project, driving its pilot program and implementation. Working in close collaboration with our Community Engagement team and local offices, she has established partnerships with local libraries throughout the state, aiming to close the access to justice gap. She also co-chairs the Legal Aid NC Family Law Task Force with Nicole DeBartolo.
Christiana is always on the lookout for a new adventure, whether it’s found hiking in the mountains, flying across the ocean, trying her hand at a new craft, or reading a good book.
